About BDMAC
- BDMAC is one of the
longest established model clubs in the North West of England. Model flying has
taken place in the borough since the 1930's.
- BDMAC is affiliated to
the British Model Flying Association (Club 024)
- BDMAC averages around
100 members engaged in all aspects of model flying - fixed wing - helicopters -
control line - electric etc..
- BDMAC actively promotes
the BMFA achievement schemes with a total of 13 instructors and 6 examiners in
house.
- BDMAC heavily subsidizes
junior membership to encourage youngsters - after all they are indeed the
future.
- BDMAC welcomes all new
members regardless of age, experience, ability or ethnic origin.
- BDMAC is a safety
conscious club striving to promote a "safety culture" within the modelling
community which will ensure our viability for many years to come.
- BDMAC operates 3 flying
arenas for Radio control fixed wing aircraft, rotary wing aircraft and control
line aircraft - all operate simultaneously.
- BDMAC is managed by a
committee determined by the members at each AGM.
